In my quest to educate my menswear eye I have looked for an interesting street style site dedicated to men. To say they are few and far between in an understatement. I often find inspiration close to home and once again I find myself most inspired by someone I have known most of my life.
Richard Haines, whom I have known for almost 30 years, is a designer (Perry Ellis, Calvin Klein, Sean Combs and an eponymous label) and artist who documents mens street style through sketches. Often capturing the personalities of the stylish in a way that a camera might not; his blog is truly inspiring.
Haines illustrates for T magazine, In Style, and J Crew and also accepts private commissions. Thinking a Haines might be the perfect gift for my Style Swains.
