Some of my best childhood memories involve several amazing Jamaican ladies. My affections for these women know no bounds. They always treated me like I was one of their’s and for that I will be forever grateful. Inez taught me how to properly fold a fitted sheet and organize my toys. Dawn taught me that the truth and coordinating accessories is always the best choice and Vernamay taught me to dance.
Cedella Marley, daughter of reggae icon Bob Marley, designed Team Jamaica’s, 2012 Olympics, Opening Ceremony outfits. The looks have received quite a bit of criticism, but I must admit I LOVE them. They are giving me a Prada meets Proenza look that I am really liking. I am thinking these directional looks will seem right in step once we see the Spring Collections.
This post is dedicated to Molly Godfrey, her swagger and style is dearly missed.
